We went to look at our traps and we saw a monster. We ran and Mom and I got away. My Dad went back to take care of it with his gun and he hit the monster with the gun then shot it, but it didn’t die so my Dad ran for his horse and went home with the monster right behind him. I thought he was doomed! He got to the house and got a more powerful gun and shot again. This time it fell to the ground, but it got up again and hit my Dad to the side and ripped the door off it hinges. Then my dad got his lasso and roped the monster and the monster fell and disappeared then it reappeared. Then Slickity and Brownie came from nowhere and came and bit the monster. Then it disintegrated and my Mammy and Pappy came to get Slickity and Brownie.

Book Of The Month – Guns of the Timberlands by Louis L’amour – August 2012
The book is about a man named Clay Bell. Clay Bell was cattleman and he lived back in a place called Deep Creek. A man named Jud Devitt wanted the trees in Deep Creek to use for the rail road. A man named Bert Garry died. He was a worker for Clay Bell and Clay liked him. Then one of Clay Bell’s men killed the man that killed Bert Garry. I won’t ruin the ending.
I liked it because it has adventure . I don’t really recommended this one because of the deaths in it. I just like the action and not to read about the deaths.

New things in the wilderness
While I was gone on my vacation a lot changed in the wilderness.
First we got Ray the rooster, Gus the ginny rooster and eight laying hens. Then we added 22 more chickens and a couple of meat rabbits. 
My chores consist of feeding and watering the chickens and rabbits
. I also gather the eggs. 
The egg above I found last week. It was tiny and didn’t have a yolk.
I helped chop the fire wood and I stacked the firewood with the help of my Mom and a friend.

I’m back from my vacation
I had a fun time while on vacation. I went to the pool with Mammy and Pappy Klinger and the movies and saw the amazing spider man . Then I went to Mammy and Pappy Trayer’s 
house and then I played with legos . That is a fighter plane that is as big as our house. If it was real it would be that big. Then I made a Santa claus head out of legos. Then I went on a 4 wheeler ride and 
I helped to cut string beans. Then we went to the zoo and we saw a camel and bear cubs and monkeys and snakes and some birds. The snakes were cool. Then we went to a restaurant then we went home.
